Four and a Half Stars

The Perth Jazz Society are proud to host an original jazz night featuring internationally renowned pianist Fabian Almazan and double bassist Linda May Han Oh. Their project "Four and a Half Stars" features a quartet with local legends Jamie Oehlers and Ben Vanderwal.

Cuban American pianist Fabian Almazan and Perth bassist Linda May Han Oh first met in 2006 while pursuing master’s degrees in New York City. Since then, they’ve quickly risen to the top of the creative music scene as leaders and band members alongside the likes of Pat Metheny, Joe Lovano, and Terence Blanchard.

Joined by Jamie Oehlers - Tenor saxophonist and winner of the 2003 White Foundation World Saxophone Competition as well as Ben Vanderwal - one of Australia's most in-demand drummers and 2015 WAM “Best Jazz Artist” award.
