Daisy Fanning and Rubaclava

  • The Ellington Jazz Club 191 Beaufort Street Perth, WA, 6000 Australia (map)

DAISY FANNING

Jazz vocalist Daisy Fanning presents original music that brings together four years of jazz study with her explorations into the intricacies of Celtic folk music. She is inspired by a diverse range of artists, from jazz luminaries Blossom Dearie, Ella Fitzgerald and Gian Slater to folk-jazz artists such as Christine Tobin and Becca Stevens.

From the folk songs of Ireland and Scotland to American styles like bebop, blues, and big band swing, she finds the common heart in their powerful story-telling traditions.

Join her in celebrating the sweet spot where two much loved musical genres meet.
