PJS is looking forward to presenting the first double bill for this year! Two sets of music from some great up and coming local talent.

The Holly Forster Quintet is an exciting new group featuring the original compositions of young alto saxophonist, Holly Forster. Holly has had a rich musical upbringing, surrounded
by the sounds of jazz, funk, blues and soul. Her music reflects influences of Cannonball Adderley, Melissa Aldana, Joe Lovano, Candy Dulfer and a variety of contemporary Australian jazz musicians. The quintet will feature some of Perth’s finest young musicians including; James O’Brien on piano, Cass Evans-Ocharern on bass, Ben Shelley on drums and Sam Forster on guitar. The Milan Project, formed in 2021 is made up of alumni from the prestigious West Australian Academy of Performing Arts. The Milan Project is fast becoming a regular fixture on the Perth music scene. Playing ​​​​​​​original jazz compositions, with styles ranging from Bebop, Swing, Latin and Fusion, The Milan Project will keep you on your feet.
